Tropical Tablelands Tourism (TTT) is urging local businesses to step up to the mark and “Go For Gold!”.
TTT chairman Michael Trout said the organisation had changed the benefits for each membership level to
encourage local businesses to increase their investment and reap the rewards of engaging with the official
Atherton Tablelands tourism body and what it has to offer.
“By Going For Gold! everyone’s a winner,” Mr Trout said. “Not only would it increase membership income for
our not-for-profit organisation but also strengthen membership engagement and therefore the tourism
industry as a whole on the Atherton Tablelands.
“The Atherton Tablelands is a dynamic, beautiful place and by businesses increasing their membership level
we will be able to do more with them and for them with the added flow-on effect of increasing the desirability
of the region as a domestic and international holiday destination.
“We have restructured the various tiers offering the best benefits from Silver to Platinum. Bronze is the base
level for traditional tourism operators and accounts for 63% of our total membership and we want this to
“We want members to review the new membership structure and consider upgrading. By engaging with TTT,
members learn new skills, grow their business and gain domestic and international exposure. Members can
recoup their investment in one subsidised marketing campaign,” he added.
Mr Trout said the higher tiers brought many benefits, including greater product exposure in the region’s
seven Visitor Information Centres, participation in international or domestic marketing campaigns and the
spin offs from the organisation’s significant buying power and heavily subsidised campaigns.”
He said membership costs remain the same this year: Silver $260, Gold $495 and Platinum $880.
