Beautiful Millaa Millaa is the gateway to the Southern Tablelands. At 873 metres above sea level, the town nestles in emerald hills surrounded by diary farms and a circuit of waterfalls. Its lookout presents the most expansive views in the area and the image of Millaa Millaa Falls has become an icon of the region.

Just south of Millaa Millaa township the waterfall circuit begins here at Teresa Creek Road, encompassing Millaa Millaa Falls, Zillie and Elinjaa Falls.Most Photographed Falls in Australia These falls are a popular swimming spot – look for the Ulysses Butterfly and Platypus late in the afternoon. Barbecue, picnic facilities, Change Rooms and Toilets.
Zillie falls are 7.5km from Millaa Millaa falls. Viewing platform provides photographic advantage and the facilities include BBQ and shelter shed in the car park .
Ellinjaa Falls, 3 klms on from Zillie falls, cascades over a series of lava columns. The car park has BBQ and picnic tables. Walk down to the the zig zag track to the stream – great tree ferns and vines on the descent.
10 klms from Millaa Millaa along the the old Palmerston Highway (now a scenic route) towards Ravenshoe are the Pepina Falls. A short walk gets you to the base of these falls.
13km from Millaa Millaa along the Palmerston Highway, towards Innisfail is Junction Road. Follow the signs left to Mungalli Falls – the highest waterfall on the Tablelands at 90M high.
Millaa Millaa is the gateway to the wilderness walking tracks Misty Mountain Trails, Australia’s first network of long distance walking trails in high altitude rainforest. Over 130 kilometres of tracks have been constructed under a unique partnership between the region’s shires, Queensland Parks and Wildlife Service (QPWS), the land’s Traditional Owners, and volunteers from Conservation Volunteers Australia. One of the most superb vistas in the region unfolds from the Millaa Millaa Lookout.
