Julatten

Julatten is renowned amongst bird-watchers worldwide and in particular for Mt Lewis National Park where all 13 Wet Tropics endemic bird species can be found. Taking Mt Molloy township as a central point, there is  just over 300 bird species including all 13 Wet Tropics endemics have been recorded within a 15km radius of the town. No other region in Australia can boast this, not even Kakadu!

Birding hotspots in Julatten include Abattoir Swamp, McDougal Road, Wetherby Road and Sweetwater Lodge.
