Head to Malanda Falls where there are several rainforest walks of about 20 minutes each; look up for tree kangaroos and check out the magnificent falls with a swimming pool at the bottom – built by locals so long ago it’s heritage listed. Now that’s cool.

Ellinjaa Falls

Otherwise Ellinjaa Falls may be the ticket – there’s a 200 metre path to the base of the roaring falls and if you are in luck, you may be joined by turtles or a platypus. Please note the steps are steep on this walk.
