Tree kangaroos are a mammal that belongs to the kangaroo family. There are 14 species of tree kangaroos that can be found in Australia, Indonesia and Papua New Guinea. Lumholtz’s tree-kangaroos are found in the rainforest of tropical Queensland, centred on the Atherton Tablelands, extending north as far as the Mount Carbine Tablelands.
They are often seen as solitary individuals or in small family groups and can be active at any time of the day or night and are mostly arboreal.
