The Best Waterfalls on the Atherton Tablelands

All of this…? Just waiting… to be explored?! Head up to the Atherton Tablelands for a refreshing round of chasing waterfalls.

Talk about power. One of our famous Atherton Tablelands waterfalls, did you know that in addition to viewing Zillie Falls from the dedicated lookout beside the top of the falls, you can also make the rainforest trek down to the bottom? Take in the full force of these magnificent falls (heads up: prepare to come away quite wet from the mist!) from below on your next visit.

Ah, Emerald Creek Falls – you’ll always leave us in awe. Escape the crowds with a trip to the Mareeba local favourite waterfall. After following the easy bush track and rockhopping trail, cool off in the fresh swimming hole that awaits you.

Mid-week adventures? That’s a big yes from us. Spend your Wednesday exploring a few of our famous waterfalls like Ellinjaa Falls. The secret bonus to a weekday excursion? You’re more likely to have the place all to yourself!

Not sure about you, but we feel fresher just looking at this pic! Enjoy a refreshing visit to Nandroya Falls. Found on the Palmerston Highway (just 15 minutes away from Millaa Millaa), this is the sight that awaits you after a moderate rainforest trek. We’ll see you here soon!

When your life looks like a magazine shoot. Whatever your plans are for this week, change them and head straight towards Millaa Millaa Falls. Arguably the most famous waterfall on the Atherton Tablelands, spend your visit admiring the view, immersing yourself in the surrounding lush rainforest and swimming below the falls
